Hey Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo, This community of Deviants that congregate here are AWESOME.

I'm an Artist from Melbourne, Australia. I'm predominantly a Painter of the canvas in the Studio. I also sketch, paint wall murals (when I get the chance), screen print, take photo's, eat food, make my own home brewed beer, listen to music....... all the time, etc... You get it right, I'm a human doing the best I can, in a Digital world.

Hi, thanks for checking out my profile.

I like to paint and create fresh new imagery that is inspiring to other people and thought provoking.

"On the other side of the easel, contemporary surrealist Duggan draws on everyday subjects to encourage the viewer to experience the 'beautiful drabness' through which he sees the world.

Duggan scrounges out an honest and sometimes demented humanity through caricatures of confronting and incongruous form. While some images highlight the simple sentiments of everyday exchanges, others allude to the abstract complexity of otherwise primal beings confined to the roles and systems of today's world. The outcome is vivid and imbued with allegory.

Dispositionism, Amos Duggan

"I feel that the characters that get spewed out of my paintbrush are raw interpretations of real people" says Duggan, "As I see people, meet people, witness interactions and have my own interactions with the vast array of people throughout this day-to-day life, I think my brain behaves a bit like a blender and chops up all the personalities, looks and behaviours."

Since beginning his professional career in 2008, Duggan's work has evolved and matured alongside his inspiration. "Absolutely everything inspires me. All the aspects of life that create an internal thought process. Be it conscious or subconscious, creating artworks feels as necessary as eating, sleeping and dreaming".

With a passion for repurposing everyday objects, much of Duggan's work is created on salvaged timber, canvas, boards and frames found in skip bins, and it is not uncommon to see one of his distinctive characters splayed across a backpack or upon a side alley wall in Melbourne's inner suburbs. Duggan's characters have also graced the front cover of Poster Press across Berlin and Stockholm, and his painting sculpture installation, Future Rocks, featured at the 2012 Eclipse Festival in Cairns and the Rainbow Serpent Festival in Victoria.
